I'm with you Matt. I'm 50 years old and a NY Rangers fan. I grew up in the era of the white at home sweater. I, too, after 5 seasons am still not used to the dark sweaters at home. As a season ticket holder I can't stand seeing the Rangers in their blue shirts, even though that's their old time nickname (The Broadway Blueshirts). I believe their home (excuse me, white road sweater) is one of the classiest in the NHL, along with Montreal, Toronto and Chicago, and miss seeing it at home.<br>I hate seeing the visitors at MSG in their whites. I'm all for changing back. I have a white and blue Rangers sweater so that didn't affect my purchase of one, although I hated their 3rd Liberty sweater and never bought one of those.

if you've ever read "the hockey sweater" by roch carrier, you know that "real" hockey fans want coloured jerseys at home - no kid growing up in the Original 6 days dreamt of a white canadiens or maple leafs sweater. bobby orr flying through the boston garden air was wearing black, not white. red wings wear RED at home. canadiens wear the tricolour. the maple leafs last won the stanley cup in 1967, at home, wearing blue! dark at home, always.

I hate seeing the same colors ever f***ing game. Just because you don't see your teams colored jersey means you won't buy it? so what, go buy a white one then, or just use your grown-up initiative and buy a dark one anyway. All the reasons and arguments against going to whites at home are just so trivial and mundane. Seeing the opposing team coming in with a new color gives each game more individuality and can help you identify with the games and season on a more personal level. The fact that this change was done to help the bottom line only further infuriates me, the NHL is a border line prostitution ring now, bending over and f***ing their fans for money.

Agree 1,000%! WHITE AT HOME, anything else is insane! I am tired of watching every visiting team look the same when I go to my team's home games. This idiotic trend started with the 2003-2004 season (last season before the lockout), and it should have ended right after the lockout! Go back to white at home!
