It WAS dirty and it WAS vicious and players have been suspended for a hell of a lot less.

I'm not gonna sit here and argue the rulebook about this or the difference between 1 and 2 seconds or how far from the play the hit happened....I am going to argue the precedent that the NHL set and then didn't following thru on.

If Brashear was given 5 games for the hit (granted, I think that was too much. shoulda been about 3) then why did Brown get nothing? It was just as vicious, just as intentional and just as dirty. Yet the powers that be do NOTHING??? So some hits to the HEAD are ok while others are not? So then where do you draw the line? Will it start to go by how important the players are to their respective teams? Or maybe how big of a name the players are to people that don't watch hockey on a regular basis?

Of course, we really can't expect anything less from a fucking Duck. That's how they play....dirty.

It SEEMED late? In other words, it wasn't late. It was within 1 second of releasing the puck. The rule use to be 2 seconds. What, now you can't hit him within 1? The hit was 100% legal. You can argue it was dirty or vicious, but it remains 100% legal. Anybody that argues otherwise should buy a copy of the NHL rulebook.
