But when you look at their roster last season, they were 10th in the league in scoring without a legitimate ELITE threat. With the defense they've assembled, its the glaring weakness at this point. Also, remember that when they traded Kubina's contract away, the also traded his 14 goals and 40 points. Are they going to continue to generate their offense from the blueline? (by the way, great avatar...) I totally see what you’re saying about the offense. Remember, the Leafs scored 250 goals last season. I think that was good enough for 10th in the NHL. Goal scoring wasn't the problem; keeping 'em out was.
