Lately I’ve noticed that I’ve had a lot of headaches. I’ll be walking around, minding my own business and suddenly I’m hit with a bout of dizziness. I break out into a cold sweat and I’ll even start shaking. I look around at other people around me and I know that I stand out. It seems like no one else is going through the same things that I am. But I know that I’m not alone. It’s the middle of summer, and some of us are going through some serious hockey withdrawls.
The draft is over, the craziness that surrounds free agency has died down and the Hall of Fame has announced its inductees. Even next year’s schedule has been released! So now what? Let me tell you what—now we wait. 64 days until the beginning of the NHL season; 66 days for some of us who are waiting for hockey to return to Staples Center.
We just because the temperature has been around triple digits for a week, it doesn’t mean that I don’t need to hit tap the vein and get my hockey fix. So here’s something that should give everyone what they’ve been looking for, a couple of highlights of the best goals of last season.
There were some amazing goals last season, but I’ve narrowed it down to the TWO goals that stood above the rest. One features the NHL’s Most Valuable Player giving us his best highlight of the year; the other gives us a Calder Trophy Finalist giving us a glimpse of what’s to come. So which do YOU think was the best goal of the season?
Bobby Ryan Spin-O-Rama
Ovechkin Goal vs. Habs
