Matt, if you decide that covering sports doesn’t work, you ought to try stand-up. This stuff is gold. Thanks for bringing a balls-out hilarious voice to the mostly dry hockey-writing world.

Patrick Kane went from hero to zero virtually overnight. This behavior is inexcusable. The NHL should make an example of him and suspend him for a year. I don’t want this kind of stuff in hockey.

I’m all for drinking to excess but it stops at punching out a cab driver…for 20 cents.

@Meg: I know! If anything, it should have been Kane giving the guy MORE money for a tip, not asking for any money back.

I think you’re right with some drunk hockey players, of course not all. Kinda sad… God knows I’ve been hammered more than once, and I’ve ever even CONSIDERED starting a fight (let alone with a cab driver).

I think they were just stupid drunk, and drunk hockey players tend to fight. Simple as that. That simple, and that STUPID!!!! And is a guy who makes millions of dollars a year really hurting that much? WTF!
