Who’s playing in the NHL tonight? Where can I find it on TV? When should I turn on the aforementioned TV? Most importantly, should I even bother turning on the TV? Here’s a place to find all the games of the night and talk about them to your hearts content. Don’t worry, tomorrow we’ll start all over. Hockey fans, these are your Daily Cross-Checks.
Pittsburgh at Boston
Time: 4 PM PST

Pittsburgh isn’t home yet, but Massachusetts is a lot closer than California. Hopefully for them, they just left their game somewhere in the Eastern Time Zone.
Minnesota at Toronto
Time: 4 PM PST
TV: SNET-O (HD)
This is your chance to see the future Eastern Conference champs feature The Monster and Phil Kessel! Nope, still doesn’t feel right—even after that win against Carolina.
Calgary at Montreal
Time: 4:30 PM PST
TV: RDS,SNET-W (HD)
Maybe the two best teams Canadian teams (in the early going) get together to see if they can bring in some serious ratings for RDS. Does it mean that I like drama because I’m strangely curious to see who’s in net (and if Allan Walsh will say anything about it).
Edmonton at Ottawa
Time: 4:30 PM PST
TV: PPV,SNET-E (HD)
Another all-Canada match-up features two teams that were linked at the hip for about a month in July. Don’t you think this game would have a little more interest if Heatley was making a return trip to Ottawa instead of lighting it up in San Jose?
Vancouver at St Louis
Time: 5 PM PST
TV: SNET-P (HD)
The slumping Blues look to get their act together against the Canucks. One thing is for sure, they don’t want this game to go to a shootout. Needless to say, those have gone less than perfectly in recent games.
Nashville at San Jose
Time: 7:30 PM PST
TV: NHLN-CA,FS-TN,CSN-CA (HD)
Nashville has had a hell of a trip to California thus far. They were absolutely pounded in an embarrassing 4-0 loss to Anaheim. They rebounded by dominating a game 3-1 against an LA Kings team that didn’t show up on Saturday afternoon. So what should we expect from this game? Yeah, Preds fans better hope that the Sharks don’t bring their A game.
