Daily Cross Checks
Wednesday November 11

Who’s playing in the NHL tonight? Where can I find it on TV? When should I turn on the aforementioned TV? Most importantly, should I even bother turning on the TV? Here’s a place to find all the games of the night and talk about them to your heart’s content. Don’t worry, tomorrow we’ll start all over. Hockey fans, these are your Daily Cross-Checks.
NY Islanders at Washington
Time: 4 PM PST
TV: RDS,NHLN-US,MSG PLUS 2,CSN-DC (HD)
They’ve played twice with both games going to overtime. That’s a strong bang for the buck value there: 65 minutes > 60 minutes.
Detroit at Columbus
Time: 4 PM PST
TV: FS-D (HD),FS-O
The Red Wings suffered yet another injury when Jason Williams broke his leg (yes, his entire leg). At this point, Detroit could use any players they could find. Maybe they rushed that Hall of Fame induction for Stevie Y.
Edmonton at Buffalo
Time: 4 PM PST
TV: TSN (HD),MSG-B (HD)
The Sabres have been great 5-on-5 this year. Having a potential starting Olympic goaltender has a way of helping out the Goals Against Average. Well, except in Edmonton’s case.
Anaheim at New Jersey
Time: 4 PM PST
TV: PRIME (HD),MSG PLUS (HD)
Don’t look now, but the Devils are nipping at the Penguins heels and have a couple of games in hand. Ah, the joys of flying under the radar.
Los Angeles at Carolina
Time: 4 PM PST
TV: FS-W (HD),FS-CR (HD)
Since beating the Penguins in an emotional, comeback performance, the Kings have been outscored 7-2. Maybe that win wasn’t the watershed moment that Kings fans hoped it would be.
Colorado at Chicago
Time: 5:30 PM PST
TV: ALT (HD),CSN-CH (HD)
Didn’t these teams just play each other on Saturday? And its not even a back-to-back situation for either team. So what is the point of playing these games like this? Don’t be afraid to spread these out! 3 of the 4 are done by mid-November.
