Matty, in January, can you make an inverse article like this and highlight all the losers species on each team?

That would be tons of fun.

Feel free to include even the trainers and conditioning coaches - because if a team loses so many man-games to injury, you gotta start wondering about their conditioning program!

Don't forget to include all goalies name Marty....

Just a little tooting my own horn: I need to take credit for the Bobby Ryan emergence last year. I was at a summer adult hockey clinic prior to the 2008-09 season, and Bobby made an appearance. As true Duck fans knew, the kid was brought up and down from the minor leagues maybe four times the year before. I asked him why at the camp, and he had no clue what Carlyle kept yoyoing with him. I told him he is too good for that and he deserves better. Well, we all know now the ice tiger that he is - lucky that the Ducks got that second pick. Probably just as good as Sid.

So yeah, Bobby Ryan is all my fault ;)

Meg" LOL, Kings fans and their never-ending pursuit of left wingers. How long before we call it the curse of Luc? Maybe the curse of Frolov?

Trev: I agree with each and every one of those players that you mentioned. All of them are good to watch, even if they are a bit under the radar. I wonder if people would appreciate Cory Sarich if he wasnt playing on the same team as Dion Phaneuf and JBo?

The Marleau thing is true as well. Great to watch with his speed and wicked shot (as long as he's not playing against my team).

Right there with you on Dallas' James Neal. When he blew that rocket of a goal by Jon Quick, I looked at the roster card, saw his age, and the first thought I has was that he needs to be on our scouting list if Dallas doesn't have him locked up yet. AND he's a left winger!

I can dream....

Good notes. I like Schultz too. A few of mine:

Dallas - Brad Richards - Needs to be playing with a shooter. 6 amazing passes a game, and some are wasted on Ott/Loui Eriksson.

Calgary - Cory Sarich - Very smart hitter. Doesn't get out of position to make a big hit.
Also - Curtis Glencross - Good at almost everything.

Detroit - Lidstrom, but not for the usual reasons. Watch the little dekes, hesitations, passes and bank passes he can make with no room.

Anaheim - Getzlaf. With a turbo for his motor, he'd be Ovechkin/Crosby type talent. Amazing vision and skill.

SJ - Marleau has been a favorite of mine for a long, long time. Now everybody is on board.

Bos - Bergeron. Oft injured, but dynamite when healthy.
