I might just be a hockey fan in California, but:
- I really wish that people in the United States would get as excited about the World Junior Championships as Canadians.
"Yes Pavel, I was feeling left out..."
- Will the Dallas stars have more wins or overtime losses at the end of the season? Right now, wins are narrowly in the lead.
- If you have the opportunity to place a wager on a Pacific Division game, just assume that it’s going to overtime. That’s where the smart money is.
- You know when you’re watching a game on Center Ice and the feed doesn’t go to commercial? When you can see them getting ready to come back from the break and the announcers will be talking back and forth to one another? I really like that.
- Should you feel embarrassed or angry if your team loses to the Carolina Hurricanes?
- The Chris Henry thing is tragic. I don’t care what you say about some of the decisions he made in his life, 26 is too young.
- How can a team have 8 days off in the middle of a compacted schedule?
- Should I just start listing the Red Wings new injuries every week? Henrik Zetterberg went down with a slightly separated shoulder. I need to buy the Grand Rapids Griffins Media Guide.
- The Minnesota Wild look like they have learned how to win on the road. Yet ANOTHER team in the West that could be good.
- If you look solely at regulation games, the Ducks are the only team in the Western Conference that is under .500. I didn’t see that coming.
- Is there a bigger scapegoat in the entire NHL than Vesa Toskula in Toronto?
- I wonder if the Ducks could go back in time, would they still make the Chris Pronger trade.

- “Quick” jokes for Jonathan Quick are quickly already old.
- If you don’t know what a freefall is but wish you did, you should check out the Tampa Bay Lightning.
- Is there any 1st place team that is getting less love than the Buffalo Sabres?
- Barry Trotz has the Nashville Predators playing very good hockey lately. When will this stop being a surprise?
- The NHL is really pumping up this Winter Classic thing, aren’t they? You’d think they could pump up the Stanley Cup Finals this much!
- Profanity-laced press conferences are VASTLY underrated.
- I think if there were two teams that were only 3 games away from perfection, it would be a bigger deal in the NHL than it is in the NFL. 79-0 just SOUNDS more impressive.
- Are there any hockey fans outside of Calgary that like Dion Phaneuf? If so, WHY?
- Gary Bettman is a pompous little person that needs to be fired for the good of the game.
