VFMS Around The Net: LAKings.com Figure 8—Best of the Decade

by Matt Reitz on December 21, 2009

The Figure 8With the Kings receiving an 8 day break from the NHL for Christmas, LAKings.com decided to pull together some experts and bloggers from HockeywoodLA.com to break down some of the Best Of the Decade topics for the Kings in their project called Figure 8. They were kind enough to ask me to pollute their site—and as usual, I followed through on their request.

I chipped in a contribution for both Best Center of the Decade and Best Winger of the Decade for the Kings. Announcers Bob Miller and Jim Fox let us know what the right answer should be and Rich Hammond (LAKingsInsider.com) lent his extensive knowledge to the subjects as well. The powers that be were kind enough to also let me share the stage with John Moncrief (LA Examiner/HockeywoodLA), John Hove (Mayor’s Manor) and even LAKings.com staff writer Melody Huskey.

It was a pleasure to be able to offer my two cents and nerd out for the team that I grew up watching. And for the record, there’s not one curse word in EITHER article. That’s right bitches, I can keep it clean.  All the contributors did a great job–drop by and check it out here:

Matt Reitz is the Editor-In-Chief here at ViewFromMySeats.com and former NHL Writer for ProHockeyTalk on NBCSports. When he’s not shoving a mic in the face of NHLers or explaining why home teams should wear white, he’s usually trying to figure out what song to play next on his iPod. It’s a never-ending job.
