Very good article. Dan Cleary is my favorite player and he has been and it has been mostly because of his timely goals AND grit. Mostly the grit! I loved how he wasn't afraid to stand up to Pronger even though he is so much bigger than him. He took the beating and kept on ticking.

This is what you have to do in business and in life. You have to pick the shots you take, know what your role in life is and how to get to where you need to be. Thanks for bringing this up!

Boyle is a PERFECT example. He has good hands, but it doesnt look like he has the hands to be a sniper in the NHL. But with his size, just imagine if he dedicated himself to be a grinder at the NHL level. All the sudden, a 15-20 season would look great if he was doing other things on the ice...

He's the perfect antithesis to guys like Cleary and Richardson...

I read this article thinking of the name Brian Boyle to myself. He had great hands, he could score in college but just didn't break through. He's still not doing much with the Rangers.

I have to give credit to those players who did find their way in the NHL, despite being stars of their Junior/midget teams.
