Already Betting on Winnipeg

Let’s get this straight. We know the city of Winnipeg has a team. We know they’ll play in the MTS Center, they’ll be the northernmost “Southeast” team ever, and the players will be former Thrashers. As for little things like a general manager or a team name—well, those are still up in the air. But just because we don’t know what the team is going to be called next year doesn’t mean we can’t start laying a little bread on the line. Seriously, there are already lines available about their success next year, if they’ll be called the Jets, and if Teemu is coming back.

Here’s what Bodog.com has going so far. Would you drop money on any of these bets?

When he’s not shoving a mic in the face of NHLers or explaining why home teams should wear white, he’s usually trying to figure out what song to play next on his iPod. It’s a never-ending job.
