There’s a saying you’ll often hear when you ask someone if they’re originally from Texas: “I wasn’t born here, but I got here as fast as I could!” While I was born and raised in Ft. Worth, Texas, I did not grow up a hockey fan; but I became a die-hard as soon as I had the chance. I began following the Dallas Stars casually during the ’96-’97 season, found it harder to miss games in the ’97-’98 season, and was a season ticket holder by ’99-’00. I attribute my love for hockey to my “Free Agency Day” birthday, known also in the Great White North as “Canada Day.”
When I’m not at the AAC cheering on the Dallas Stars, you can usually catch me on a plane to somewhere – anywhere. You can bet that, more times than not, it’s to see the Greatest Game on Earth in another NHL city. Having grown up in Dallas/Ft Worth, I was raised a Cowboys fan and love sports in general. I have a passion for people and writing, which brought me here to VFMS. While you won’t see me around here that often, nearly everything you do see will have come across my “desk”. Perhaps you will see a surprise article from me every once in awhile, but I’m thrilled to be behind-the-scenes as Associate Editor. You can also find me Tuesday nights co-hosting a Pacific Division podcast with my fellow VFMSer, Matt Reitz.
